Annalize Gilfillan Program Director Country: South Africa Summers: 8 ('99 - '06) Bio: This is Annalize's 6th summer as the program coordinator. When not working on the summer camp program, she is taking classes to complete her M. Div. through Andover Newton Seminary. She is a member of Attleboro Baptist Church and served as the Youth Minister recently. She loves Jesus and is excited to work with staff members that also know Jesus as their Lord and Savior!

Bio: Prior to accepting this position, Jill was the Canonicus Day Camp Director for the two previous years. When not at camp, she is an elementary teacher in Manchester, NH. She has much experience with campers of all ages and was a camper herself at Canonicus. She attends Philips Memorial Baptist Church.

Bio: Andrew has vast experience with children having taught on 2 continents for a total of 8 years prior to accepting the position of Day Camp Director. He served as the Adventure Coordinator for the past 2 summers at Canonicus and was a Day Camp Director in the UK for a summer. He attends Attleboro Baptist Church.

Ronald Roberts

Bio: For the past two seasons, Ronald has served as a camp counselor at Canonicus. His previous experience includes several years as a counselor in Christian Holiday clubs in South Africa . Ronald has many exciting and new ideas for the adventure department at camp.

Bio: Kai has spent many of her summers at Canonicus as a camper and more recently as a staff member. She is a member of Old Stone Baptist Church and works as a field teacher naturalist at a local environmental education center when she is not at Canonicus.

Bio: Hannah came to camp as a camper and is now giving back. This is her first year as the supervising lifeguard. She is a recent high school graduate, and has been accepted at St. Joseph's in Maine to study Medicine.

Bio: Having served in the kitchen for his previous year on staff, Ben is serving with his sister at the waterfront. He was a camper at Canonicus and has helped out with his church's VBS.

Bio: Rob has been a lifeguard at Canonicus for many years.  He served as the waterfront director in '04 and regularly helps out when he can during the summer.

Bio: Taylor was a camper for many years at Canonicus and has also worked on the kitchen staff before. She has lead her youth group for the past 2 years and was a small group bible study leader at the national conference.

Bio: Nathan has spent many a summer at Canonicus. When not at camp he has helped out at his youth group, in Sunday school and in Royal Rangers. He will be starting college in Pennsylvania in the Fall to study education or journalism.

Bio: Erin is currently studying towards her primary teaching diploma. Her church activity includes being a youth leader and teaching Sunday school

Bio: Flamur has been involved with youth work on a part time basis for the past 5 years. He has a dramatic faith that stems from a conversion from Islam 9 years ago.

Bio: Gemma has a degree in Sports Ed which she is planning to use in international youth ministry (possibly Australia). She was involved in a large youth outreach event in Manchester, England, in 2000.

Bio: Zoe has served as a leader in her youth group for several years and is currently on a gap year from her Bible College course that will take her to the UK in the fall.

Bio: Rachel has been involved in youth work at her church for the past 7 years. In that time she has also worked at a Christian Radio Station. She will be starting a youth ministry course in the Fall with her eye on a full-time Youth Minister position at her church.

Bio: Danny has served on Christian camps in the UK before. He works with the youth in his church at their events and in leading worship. He is currently studying commercial music.

Bio: Amy has experience with several age groups, both as a youth teacher and as a worker in a day care facility. She is currently finishing off a gap year and will be starting school again the UK in the fall.

Bio: Adele has several years experience as a youth group leader and is currently on a gap year as she chooses her direction of further study.

Bio: Attila has several years of experience in Hungarian Christian Summer Camps. His passion for kids is evident as he studies towards an elementary school teaching diploma

Bio: Sara is a member of Congdon Street Baptist church and is the pre-school Sunday School teacher. She was a camper for many years at Canonicus and was also an LIT. She is currently studying at URI to be an elementary school teacher

Bio: Cailin loves camp and has been a camper and LIT at Canonicus. Her home church is Pawtuxet Baptist, where she will be teaching a teen Bible study this summer. She is currently studying photography and graphic design

Bio: Robin has been a camper for several years at Canonicus. Her church service includes teaching in the Sunday school and volunteering at their VBS. Her hopes for the future include travel and working with kids.

Bio: Chris has much experience in teaching in his church Sunday school as well as working in boys' clubs in England. He is currently studying economics in Southhampton

Bio: This is Sandeep's second year in the US. He was a counselor at a Christian camp in Missouri in 2004. He has been very involved in the youth of his church and has worked with several age ranges. He is also has also lead worship in the past.

Bio: Neil is a member of North Foster Baptist church. He came to Canonicus as a camper and was part of his church youth group growing up. He is currently studying in New Hampshire.

Bio: Odette is a Sunday school teacher as well as vice president of the youth department of her church. She teaches reading to younger children and is studying towards her teaching diploma

Bio: Christo is a gifted worship leader who has been involved in several worship events. He has completed a "Year for Christ" service year in South Africa and has served as a youth leader.

Bio: Sally was camp cook in '86, but felt her true calling in '95 when the camp store position opened up.   It helps that her first name starts with an "S" as she can be affectionately called "Sally the Storelady".  She teaches at North Stonington Christian Academy, CT (where she has taught for the past 23 years).

Bio: "Nurse Ann" has been a camp nurse at Canonicus for more years than some of our counselors have been alive (23 years!). This is her 17th straight summer here. She has "seen it all" and has watched young campers mature into leadership positions.

Bio: This is Rosendo's second year as the Kitchen coordinator.  He has previously served as a camp counselor.  He works at a North Stonington Christian Academy in Connecticut when he is not at Canonicus.

Bio: This is Betim's second year on staff.  Last year he was a camp counselor.  He has a dramatic testimony including his conversion from Islam.  He is currently studying nursing in Houston, TX.
